// INTERVIEW with Tina Lilienthal

bespoke fashion jewellery with an edge

1.Where do you seek inspiration for your collections?

I’m interested in the dichotomy of popular culture and human nature. I love people watching, the way they interact, they dress. And London is the perfect place for this.

My jewellery is bold and I love using unusual materials, which often makes it the starting point for a conversation or interaction. It brings people together.

2.Which one is your favourite piece from collection and why?

One of my favourite pieces is the large colourful arrow from our Pow Wow collection as it really sums up my interest in unconventional materials as well as my fascination with the urban.

It is more miniature sculpture than jewellery, it is unapologetic and made for the urban explorer, the wondrous and wild.

The materials are silver, ebony, perspex , powder coated brass and leather.

3.What is the most rewarding thing as a designer?

I don’t feel like I’m ever going to work. It is not always easy but it is definitely always fulfilling and meaningful.

4.If you weren’t a designer, what would you be?

Probably a psychologist 😉

5. Your favourite moment of the day?

Any day with lots of sunshine and blue skies – a slight rarity in London
