From my network, from people around me.
I listen to their needs, what they like, what they prefer do or don’t like of existing products.
And I listen very much to my inner voice when it comes to creation.
Minimalistic elegant, combined with smart formats.
I have been traveling a lot with my laptop.
After a very long time looking for a well-looking, simple and less casual laptop bag for women, I started with the first design drafts. Designs of handbags often ending up loud, complex or to coltish .
I wanted it simple, elegant and lasting timeless.
♥ ♥ ♥
My personal favorite bag is the marigold clutch.
I love the color and how the logo looks on the bag.
The size has helped me for a few good appearance.
For a vernissage in the evening but also as a travelbag, for my tablet, passport etc.
Women who are looking for a special handbag in terms of quality, value and minimalistic design, besides to well-knowned brands.
I work on new designs mostly at night, I have the best focus when everything around me is quiet and dark.
I first look for the materials. After I have an idea how a collection, color and the kind of leather can match, I start to think about the structure and the design of the bag and collect everything together in a first mock up presentation.
Usually I call my manufactory the next day in the morning, right away…
Lip balm, a moisturizer, chewing gum, hair tie,
Socks (for cold summer apartments), Kindle or book, charging cable for the smartphone. And always a few coins …
Building a visibility is not easy beside the well-known market leaders.
It’s not enough to just have a great product.
Marketing and sales are a big time factor that I underestimated in the beginning.
A few.
In fact, I always wear the Will Femin laptop bag and change the color regularly, depending on how I feel or what suits my outfit best and depending on the season.
I worked for other brands and companies in the past and helped them with their online marketing.
I would still do that probably.
Or I would own a little dog farm, with a dog school, a dog Boutique and a training place – still have this plan for late years ;).
Noon when I go for a walk, that is kind of my half-time reward.
I run every day.
Even if I don’t make it every time though the hole distance, I just put my running shoes and podcast on and try to be at least one hour outside in the nature.
