It’s mostly people or pattern I see in nature or architecture.
My designs are very minimalist, simple but edgy, elegant yet down to earth and timeless.
I think it started at an early age that I wanted to change things I saw and I always liked accessories. When it comes to clothing, I am more interested into cuts and materials then colors and patterns.
You will see me mostly wearing black and white, but I like to change my look with accessories. In my mid 20ties I had 2 shops in Switzerland under the name ORCHID ARTS, where I imported and partially designed home decoration items and giftware from all over Asia. 2 years in, my customers asked me for jewellery…
That’s a very difficult question, because I really love all the pieces equally.
There is a lot of thought going into each item before I decide to produce it. If I had to choose I would need to say the black star cufflinks, which I wear often myself and the lotus flower cord bracelet in mustard/silver which I wear 24/7. It’s not only about the design but more so about the meaning behind the symbols.
They are mainly women from all over the globe.
Some of them are attracted by the design but the majority loves the meaning behind each symbol.
I would not call them spiritual, because my customers have different religious backgrounds, but they are interested to lead a meaningful life, being mindful and support other people which are maybe not that fortunate.
That’s every time different. Mostly I do a quick sketch, when I have the inspiration and this can literally be everywhere and then I let it sit for a while… It’s like developing a thought further… Sometimes for a month…
I look at the sketch from time to time and I only do the final draft, which happens always in the night, once I have a clear picture in my mind how the product should look like and how the person will look like when she is wearing it.
It’s quite an abstract process and I totally follow my gut feeling.

I think the biggest struggle in the fashion industry is that you have to have a name first before people see the beauty of the designs.
I lead a life where I choose every day to live life as it is the last day I have and I absolutely love what I am doing. I really can’t think of anything else which would be more fulfilling. I simply love my life. Being a mother to a gorgeous little boy, being able to help other children and to create beautiful things is all I ever wanted.
…when I have my first almond milk cappuccino at around 4am when it’s still very dark outside and most of the people are still asleep.
