My favourite piece from my current collection has to be the ” Akemi” Geometric print tote bag. Made from upcycled Kimono silk. I love the colours and the design of the print. Japanese fabrics are designed so beautifully. But the “World Series Collection” is constantly being added to, so my favourite may change soon.
The most rewarding thing as a designer to me is coming up with an idea and seeing it develop into the finished product. It’s really fulfilling when the end product is exactly as you’ve envisaged it.
If i wasn’t a designer I think i would probably a photographer. I know it’s easier these days with all the post shoot technology, but I love taking photos of absolutely anything and everything. I sometimes get some weird looks in the street by people probably thinking “what the hell is he taking a photo of” lol.
My favourite moment of the day is First thing in the morning when I’m on my laptop working on something and my son comes running up to me, half asleep, but still smiling because he’s happy to see me. It’s a great feeling.
