The simplest answer would be our youth.
We were both interested in Skateboarding, Basketball and Hip Hop; and since sneakers played an important role in all of thethree, we developed great affection for shoes like the first EWings or the Adidas Superstar because of RUN DMC for example.
Apart from that, we have always had general interest in design, aesthetics and architecture. We admire Dieter Rams for his work for Braun, the Bauhaus architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, who coined the phrase ‘less is more’, as well as EAMES for their round and organic designs.
However, these/this design aesthetics never served as an exact guideline, but to rather be juxtaposed with the interests and styles of our youth.
We offer clean and minimalistic interpretations of classic shoe styles, that match contemporary demand.
Furthermore, we put our attention on subtle details and reduced lines with no knickknacks in order to not be restricted to a certain fashion type.
Additionally, our straight and linear designs have to proportionally match our colours and materials in order to create a harmonious impression.
All of these points lead to a high-quality end product designed in timeless nature, that resemble our teenage preferences in contemporary context.
Ever since we (had) started collecting sneakers in our teenage years, we always had the vision of creating our own shoe.
After our studies, Jörg worked as a designer for Puma and Andi founded his first business and our sneaker plans had to be postponed for some time.
But when Jörg ended his ways with Puma, we decided to finally turn our visions into reality.
After a great amount of time and lots of trial and error, we were certainly able to hold the first own sneaker in our hands (in 2010).

We love all of them :-).
Style wise, there is no typical VOR customer, but our shoes are for everyone that
appreciates a clean designed and carefully handcrafted sneaker as an everyday staple.
For everyone, that enjoys a shoe far from short-lived trends and hypes with
yet contemporary twists.
Or to cut it short: for everyone that is looking for a high quality product that does not run out of style.
Before our designs are sent to our manufacturers, the process involves a lot of briefing and sketching before we can go into creating the final design version.
Once the shoe design is done, we focus on materials, tech packs and add all sort of development drawings.
And since it is just the two of us at the table and no other departments, the whole process, from designing silhouettes to selecting the perfect materials, is done entirely by us.
Never struggling from the design side, we’re very strong and experienced here and love to focus on well balanced design, proportions, working lines etc.
We never run out of ideas, we could do so much more, but want to give each release time and space as much as it deserves.
If there are times where you have to struggle here and there, it would be all about production, tough timelines and areas like that.
There were times where we had probaly more than 400 pairs in our flat share, especially when Joerg was still designing for Puma.
Nowadays, less is more, as we only wear VORs, we have it reduced to the max. Only what each of us really needs and likes the most.
Definitely being a Creative, wether it be an architect, painter or spaceship inventor
All of them and none. It all depends on that specific day as all days are different here, sometime fully packed with surprises.
