At Dry Patch we create functional, fashionable kit for commuters on 2 wheels.
With a focus on innovation and lifestyle our premium products keep commuters and their stuff dry… from the bottom up.
By creating kit that fits urban 2 wheel commuters lifestyles, we want to encourage people to get out of their cars, off public transport and enjoy the freedom of 2 wheels.
When it comes to our products, we have 4 key values:
1, it’s kit you want (more on this below).
2, it is 100% functional – our kit works really well and is made of the best materials for the job.
3, it has to look great – there’s too much stuff out there that works brilliantly for commuters on 2 wheels, that just doesn’t look very good.
4, our kit will always be innovative – we believe innovation is the key to developing brilliant new products that disrupt the rest of the market.
The 2 wheel commuter landscape is changing. European cyclists and moped riders are not wearing Lycra or leather. Brands like Bobbin and Vespa are for the commuter that is not defined by the fact they are on 2 wheels.
They choose 2 wheels to fit their lifestyle. We want to make stuff that works and looks good specifically for these lifestyle conscious commuters.
So we have drawn on the high design end of “sporting” brands like Adidas, Nike and North Face and consumer brands like Barbour, Fred Perry,French Connection, Apple and Rayban
Years and years of commuting in and out of London on 2 wheels, and watching my fellow commuters who don NOT wear Lycra or leathers suffer the same issues as I do – dampness and excuses not to ride provided by the weather.
I wanted to create products that would stop me making excuses not to jump on 2 wheels in my chinos and polo shirt!
Dry Patch is the vehicle, excuse the pun, to bring style, function and innovation together and create great looking kit that really works for bikers who wear their chinos, jeans or skirts on their daily 2 wheel commute!
We absolutely know that our “high design” products are not going to be appreciated by all bikers – but we also stand by every product and know they will work for ALL bikers (if they want to give them a go)
Sourcing the best factory was challenging, but hugely enjoyable. I visited a number of factories in Guangzhou before settling on the right one.
A factory run almost entirely by women who make fantastic quality hand bags. It was a matter of taking a relatively simple design and doing really well! Even then the communication is very challenging and it took a good number of samples to get the product absolutely right.
New products! We want to talk to our existing customers and the social media following we are starting to gather and ask them… “what do you want next, and what do you want it to look like?”
We have a new product on its way. An 18 litre, foldaway back pack focused on 2 wheel commuters and how they interact with their everyday carry!
Jumping on the bike and experiencing the freedom of 2 wheels. Not waiting for buses, trains or Ubers!
